Thank you Elena! Was investigating this on my own, and found same behavior. Secret was to nest the files in nested folder structure.

Hello Jakub,

As I informed you in your support thread, the scenario when issue can be reproduced, is not straight forward and needs to be updated. The issue persists when the class file is nested under any folder in the project. If it is in the project root one, the file will be updated.

Please use this public item to follow the progress of the investigation.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Hello Jakub,

I am also using Windows 10 Pro x64 edition Version 1803 if that matters. I also tried with existing project and both Visual Studio Code and Notepadd ++ (refer attached).

Please confirm you are running Test Studio as administrator.

Can you share more details about your system? Windows version? Mine is Windows 10 Professional x64 and I can still easily reproduce this issue. There is no lock, as changes made by Notepad++ and Visual Studio are easily visible in both apps, but not in TS.

Also I see on your video that you are starting with blank project. Can you try with some project with existing elements ?

Hello Jakub.

Unfortunately this behavior is not reproduced. It works as expected and refreshes automatically, you even don't have to click on the refresh button. The only way it does not work I can think of is if your external program you are using for editing the file is locking the file while editing for some reason.

Refer to this sample demonstration attached, I am using Visual Studio Code.

Should you have any additional questions or comments please contact us via support ticket which is the official channel for getting help related with Test Studio.

Thank you for your understanding.
Best Regards
